2010 Recap

16 Goals and 6 assists this year. I'd say I played in at least 50 games this year if not more. Not sure why my scoring was so down. I'm not getting many shots these days. We seem to be playing against better defenses and better teams. I'm now going to be playing Mondays and Tuesdays so 2x's the games which means I should get at least 40 goals this year. That's one every 2 games.

I feel like I'm not getting many breakaways. I'm not sure if this is because of a subpar midfield or better defense. If I could add in a few headers or goals off set pieces I'm sure that would help. Also give and goes around the box. Hopefully we move closer to a field sometime soon so I can get in some practice.

Knee Injury

Got my knee blown up again but not as bad as last year. Day 3 after the injury and I have most of my motion but it feels like it's going to lock up. Probably a torn meniscus but who gives an F. I'll be playing this Monday.

Fall 2009 Recap

Things have worked out great now that I've made the move to Mondays and The Warriors. There are lots of great players on the team which means I get a lot more chances. I really could have had more with better finishing but I'll take 11. More practice, lifting, and training for the next 6 weeks until the new season starts.

My goal is to be the top scorer for the league this season. With 5 Goals and 6 games to go I think it can happen.

Hat Trick

After 2 sub par games the last 2 weeks, I was able to get a hat trick last night. I started off pretty bad. 2 Balls over the top found me but I couldn't control the first and the second I hit wide left. The first was an easy rebound goal, the 2nd a spectacular near post header and the third was a dribble in from the 18 toe punch. So that puts me at 5 goals 1/2 way through the season. Hope I can get to double digits.

New Team New Season

Last night I started playing with a new team, Strikers in GSSL Over 30 BB division. It was a good game ending in a 4-4 tie. I had 2 goals for my new team which seemed to impress everyone. I finished last season with 10 goals and 6 assists which is great considering I only played about 7 games.

Below is my latest pair of boots. The Adidas Adipure II Roma edition. So far I've scored 5 goals in 3 games with these bad boys.

Free Kick Perfection

Last night we lost game 9 of the season 7-6 but I did get 2 goals and an assist. The first goal was a perfectly taken free kick from about 20 yards on the left side of the field. It went over the wall and dipped into the upper left corner. The second was off a throw in. I ran to and then let it go by me, took 2 touches and pounded a shot that the keeper couldn't push over the bar.

It's been a good season for goal scoring, I just hope I can carry it over to GSSL.

I did play in my new adipure II's. They aren't as comfy as my Ronaldinho dois but I cant argue with the results......
